I've enjoyed sport since the age of 11 and have taken part in all sorts of sport including running, hockey, squash and badminton. My main passion has been cycling and I have made a huge commitment over the last 12 years to my cycling. Some of my achievements include winning numerous Island Games gold medals, winning the National Hill Climb three times in succession and competing in the 2002 Commonwealth Games. If you would like to find out more about my cycling successes and my cycle coaching please click on my website www.abcyclecoaching.com.
This interest in sport has grown into many areas which impact our general health, these include nutrition, relaxation and stress management. My interest in these areas was so great that I took up tai chi which has many benefits to general health as well as helps to reduce stress levels. This is why I include some tai chi in my boot camp routines.
I undertook nutrition and stress management diplomas. I am now an advanced fitness instructor with a personal trainer diploma. I wanted to find out about 'all' the components that are essential to enjoying a healthy lifestyle and I believe that nutrition, stress management and fitness are the three areas not to be ignored but also go hand in hand to getting the most out of life.
My enthusiasm for these subjects has led me to want to share my knowledge and has given me the desire to help people improve their lifestyle and therefore their quality of life. Feeling good about yourself enhances your feel good factor and general mood - you feel happier and getting up in the morning is not such a chore.
I really believe that I can help people improve their lifestyles and in doing so, become much happier.
